Mani Ratnam's KADAL








Wrapping up the Kadal shoots in the Thiruchendur coasts, Mani Ratnam and Co have moved on to new locations. The Kadal director is breathing a sigh of relief, only after his actor Aravind Swamy assured him that things were fine. The unit was spotted shooting in the district of Alappuzha recently, also known to tourists as the Venice of the East.
This upcoming movie from the veteran Kollywood director has Karthik’s son Gautham and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead, along with Aravind Swamy, Arjun, Thambi Ramaiah and Lakshmi Manchu in supporting roles. Aravind who suffered a broken elbow is on rest, after completing a 10 day schedule with an injury hand. Moving on to the second schedule, the director and his cinematographer Rajeev Menon captured some exquisite scenes in the backwaters of Kerala. The Alappuzha shoots are rolling out well in the town of Muhamma, a coir village, famous for its coir products. Mani also shot some quickie portions in the backwaters of Cochin and areas surrounding the Vembanad Lake in Kottayam in Kerala.The lead pair are shooting a part of the romantic scenes in Kottayam presently. Things are progressing smoothly, and sources revealed that the outcome would be breathtaking.Music for the film is composed by Mani’s  all time favorite AR Rahman.
